 Good afternoon. My name is Magnus Stajan, and I'm a fictional hockey player in NHL 13 in career mode for the Playstation 3. Is everything I just said completely outdated? Yup. And I'm okay with that.

Like I said, completely fictional. But the posts will be my thoughts anyway. Maybe I'm AI? Maybe I'm just playing on an old system and having fun. Guess you'll never know.

I'm currently in my second season as a professional hockey player. I was drafted # 1 overall after a great season in the minors playing for the Victoriaville Tigers. I was drafted to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Playing for a great team like that was important. If I fell to # 2, I'd have wound up as a Florida Panther. Nothing wrong with that but they don't have the history the Maple Leafs have.

Okay, we failed to make the playoffs in my rookie year. We missed out by two games. So I'd call that a helluva turnaround from the worst team in the league. I won Calder Memorial Trophy for Rookie of the Year. I had high hopes for my second season.

But then free agency happened. I'd have thought playing for a team on the rise would not only attract some great players but also keep some of our stars. I was wrong on both accounts. We lost seven players, including our goalie. Which I was fine with. He was terrible. Had the 2nd most Goals allowed per game. Maybe if he cut back a little, we'd have made the playoffs. 

And now two weeks into my second season, we're looking like a minor league hockey team. Our two goalies have 2 stars each as far as star power. It's going to be a long season here in Toronto!
